Smith limps in, Forrest raises $150,000 more, Smith immediately pushes all-in. Forrest calls. Forrest shows A-J clubs, Smith turns over his queens. The flop is K-10-9 rainbow. The turn card is a 5d. The river of 4c makes Gavin Smith the newest WPT Champion, earning him $1,128,278 and a $25,000 seat in the season ending WPT Championship. Ted Forrest made a valiant effort, finishing in 2nd place, earning him $579,386.

Hand 96: With the blinds now $40,000-$80,000 and a $10,000 ante, Smith opens for $300,000. Forrest moves all in for $540,000 total. Chris Bell re-raised all in. Gavin folds 9-9. Chris shows A-K versus Ted's A-7. The flop is hurtful for Bell, coming Q-J-7. The turn is a 4 and the river is a Q. Forrest stays alive with his pair of sevens and now has just over a million in chips.
