Matt Giannetti Picks Off Casey Coleman
John Strzemp came in for a raise to 20,000 and both Casey Coleman and Matt Giannetti called the raise from the blinds. The flop came Q7
4
, and Strzemp bet 40,000. Coleman called and Giannetti raised to 160,000. Strezmp kicked it in and Coleman made the call. The turn was the 10
and both players checked. The river brought the 4
and Coleman, first to act, fired 280,000 at the pot. Giannetti tanked for a few minutes, ultimately making the call with A
Q
. Coleman mucked his hand and Giannetti raked a big pot. Giannetti picked off an apparent bluff and brought his stack up to about 1,5 million while Coleman dropped to just a half million in chips.
Casey Coleman gets Rivered, Down to 100k
Sergey Rybachenko raised to 55,00 before the flop and Casey Coleman reraised to 170,000. Rybachenko called to a flop of K5

. Coleman bet 250,000 and Rybacheno made the call. The turn was the 5

K
for top pair, top kicker, but Rybacheno showed 8
6
for the straight on the river. Rybachenko raked a monster pot while Casey Coleman watched his chip stack dwindle down to just about 100,000 this round.
After a late start, cards are finally in the air for Event no. 17 ($1,500 NL Shootout). As this is a shootout event, all players will start with the same amount of chips (300,000). This means that starting chip counts are not a factor, and each player's skill level becomes the only competitive advantage that they bring with them to the final table. There is a lot of talent at this final table, so be sure to check back with CardPlayer.com for updates on all of the action.
After a long Round 2, and an even longer night, the final ten players have returned here today on very little sleep, last night’s play didn’t end until roughly 7:00 in the morning. They are all here, but for some other unforeseen event, this final table is off to another late start. We'll let you know as soon as cards are in the air.
