Updates on Day 1 (Oct 21, 07)

Kenna James Wins the Eastern Conference

Kenna James calls the all in of  "Dakota" Happas with A 5.  Happas has K 10 and will need some help to extend the match.  The board comes 7 6 4 A 9 and James wins the pot, advancing team Detroit to the next round.

Our coverage will now be moving to the Western Conference.

Kenna James Takes Out Two Players

Gavin Griffin raises all in for 33,300 and Brian Stanton calls leaving only 5,000 behind.  Kenna James thinks for a minute in the big blind before calling also.  The flop comes J 8 5 and Stanton moves the rest in.  James calls with 9 9, Stanton shows 6 6 and Griffin has K Q.  The turn and river come 8 A.  Stanton is eliminated in 3rd place and Griffin is out in 4th.    Heads up play will begin shortly.

Greg Raymer Eliminated?

As hard as it is to believe, Greg Raymer was just eliminated.  Raymer took a few hit but eventually got it in with A-Q against Kenna James' A-10 on a 10-high flop.  The board bricked out and Raymer was eliminated in 5th place.  James is now the chip leader, with about 125,000.

Blinds Up

The blinds have been raised to 2,000 - 4,000 with a 400 ante.

The chip counts tab has been updated.
