Quick Break/ Blinds Up

The players went on a quick break as they colored up the 1,000 denomination chips. The blinds are now 15,000 - 30,000 with a 5,000 ante.

Update 5

Blinds: 12,000 - 24,000 with a 4,000 ante

Brandon Terry vs. Matt Brady

Brandon Terry and Matt Brady recently clashed in two fairly large pots. On the first hand, Terry took nearly 300,000 off Brady when he made an excellent river call holding just A-K high on a jack-high board.

On the second hand, Brady raised to 60,000 on the button and Terry reraised to 160,000 from the small blind. Brady then reraised him to 320,000 and Terry let it go.

Chip Counts:

Johan Storakers - 1,585,000
Allie Prescott - 980,000
Matt Brady - 1,650,000
Brandon Terry - 1,280,000
Jeff Papola - 2,685,000

Blinds Up

Play continues as the blinds increase to 12,000 - 24,000 with a 4,000 ante.

Update 4

Blinds: 10,000 - 20,000 with a 3,000 ante

The Hand That Never Was

The flop comes Q-J-10 in a three-way pot between Matt Brady, Johan Storakers and Brandon Terry. There is little action on the flop and the turn is a king, putting four to a straight on board.

At this point, Terry puts out a small bet of 50,000 to see where his 9-8, the bottom end of a flopped straight, is at in the hand. Storakers, who had flopped broadway with A-K, now min-raises to 100,000.  Brady now goes into the tank with his flopped set of jacks, knowing that he's beat but wondering if he should draw to the full house.

Eventually, he realizes that if both opponents have the ace, he'll never see the river without putting in the rest of his stack. Terry lays it down as well and the entire table is stunned that somehow the pot only amounted to just under 200,000. Who knows what would have happened if one had bet their monster on the flop.

Chip Counts:

Johan Storakers - 1,425,000
Allie Prescott - 850,000
Matt Brady - 2,080,000
Brandon Terry - 1,150,000
Jeff Papola - 2,550,000

Play Resumes

The players have returned from the break and the action has resumed.

The blinds are now 10,000 - 20,000 with a 3,000 ante.

Break

The players are now on a break to rest, grab a drink and talk about numbers.

Here are their current chip counts:

Jeff Papola - 2,660,000
Matt Brady - 2,107,000
Brandon Terry - 1,421,000
Allie Prescott - 925,000
Johan Storakers - 725,000

We'll get back to you as soon as something develops.

Update 3

Brian Malczewski is all in from the small blind for 180,000 total. Allie Prescott thinks it over and makes the call with 33. Malczewski shows AK but the board offers no help when it runs 99486.

Malczewski is eliminated in sixth place and earns $83,120.
