With a ten on the river, Yevgeniy Timoshenko made history, joining some of the game's greatest players as WPT Champion. Timoshenko earned by far the largest score of his young career, banking $2,149,960. The win gives Timoshenko over $3 million in live tournament earnings, despite only being 21 for the past two months.

On the very first hand back from the break, Ran Azor raised to 800,000 and Yevgeniy Timoshenko moved all in. Azor quickly called with Q 10 and Timoshenko showed a superior A 3.
The flop rolled out Q J 7 and the audience groaned, knowing Azor was now a favorite to double up. The turn was the K, giving Timoshenko some outs to the straight.
The river was the 10 and Timoshenko hit his Broadway straight on the river, taking down the pot and the tournament. Azor finished in second place and earned $1,446,265.
Yevgeniy Timoshenko has continued to apply pressure and has taken back his nearly 10-1 chip lead.

Timoshenko called and the river was the 10. Azor checked and Timoshenko bet 1.5 million. Azor made the call and Timoshenko showed 10-2 for trips to take the pot.
Timoshenko moved up to 28,700,000 while Azor dropped to 5,125,000.
Yevgeniy Timoshenko moved all in and Ran Azor immediately called, waking up with pocket kings. Timoshenko showed pocket deuces, but they failed to hit, doubling up Azor to 5,950,000.
Timoshenko still has 27,875,000.
Play continues without a break as the blinds increase to 150,000-300,000 with a 25,000 ante.
Heads-up play has lasted almost as long as the rest of the final table did and so far Yevgeniy Timoshenko is sticking to his plan to chip away at the less experienced Ran Azor.
With about 50 hands in the books, Timoshenko has taken almost 6 million from his opponent risk free.

Azor is now down to about 7 million.
