The PaddyPowerPoker.com Irish Winter Festival’s €1,650 buy-in main event, the Irish Masters, kicks off today and will run for three days at Dublin’s Burlington Hotel. Players will sit down to a starting stack of 15,000 and 60-minute blinds at 2 p.m. this afternoon.
Cardplayer.com readers can watch all the action on the live stream of the feature table until a winner is crowned champion on Monday.
The Festival features all kinds of events at various buy-ins including a Blind Man’s Bluff World Championship and an Irish Mythical Championship. The Burlington Hotel will also be filled with all kinds of entertainment, good music, and not forgetting the world’s largest chip stack.
This evening from 9 to 11 p.m. tonight in the Burlington’s Bellini Bar, guests will be able to challenge World Champions Dennis Taylor (snooker) and Eric Bristow (darts) at their respective sports, but with a crazy twist.
The Irish Masters is being streamed live at IrishWinterFestival.com from 2 p.m. today. Last year’s champion was Michael O’Sullivan after he topped a field of 398 for the first-place prize of €143,000.
