Dror Michaelo began heads-up play with a chip deficit of slightly less than 2:1 with about 4.6 million to Maxim Lykov’s 9 million. Despite having plenty of play left with about 38 BBs, Michaelo had no qualms about getting it all in.

In one of the first hands of heads-up play, he shipped nearly 1 million chips across the table after rivering top pair against Lykov’s flopped straight. That hand gave Lykov more than a 3:1 chip advantage when Michaelo three-bet shoved from the button before the flop with
KClub Suit 5Diamond Suit against Lykov’s AHeart Suit KSpade Suit,

The board came AClub Suit QDiamond Suit QClub Suit 9Spade Suit 7Spade Suit, giving Lykov top two pair on the flop to win the pot. Dror Michaelo was eliminated in 2nd place ($401,296) while Maxim Lykov wins the gold bracelet for Event #54 and the $648,800 grand prize.

NOTE: With the elimination of Warren Woodridge in 3rd place, Maxim Lykov took almost a 2:1 chip lead going into heads-up play with about 9,000,000 to Dror Michaelo’s 4,650,000.
