Mike Hauptman Wins the $5,000 NLHE Title ($365,995)

Mike Hauptman took a 3-1 chip lead into the heads up match with David "Vifter" Peat and after a short battle won the $5000 NLHE event.  Peat finished in second place for $202,455. 

This is Mike's first major cash.  He said the only reason he was able to win event was because his wife gave him a couple days off to play.  Mike was adamant that she is everything in the world to him and winning the event wasn't  as half as good as he feels on a typical day with her.

Mike Hauptman takes down $365,995 the championship bracelet and a buy in to the $25,000 WPT championship.
 

Brian Rast Eliminated 3rd ($101,230)

Brian Rast limps in from the small blind and Mike Hauptman moves all in.  Rast makes the call and shows Q4.  Hauptman turns over AK and the board comes K10898.  Hauptman wins the pot and eliminates Rast in 2nd place.
 

Mike Hauptman Wins Biggest Pot of Tournament

Brian Rast limped on the button, Mike Hauptman completed from the small blind and David Peat checked in the big blind.  Before the flop Hauptman said his cards were so bad he didn't remember them.  The flop came 863 and Hauptman moved all in for $627,000.  Peat folded and Rast called with K8.  Hauptman turned over 94 for a flush draw and overcard.  The final two cards came J 5 giving Hauptman the flush and doubling him up over 1.2 million chips, giving him a commanding chip lead.

Kevin Song Eliminated 4th ($55,090)

Kevin Song is all in for his last few chips with A5 against the Q5 of Brian Rast.  The board comes KQJ48 and Rast wins the pot.  Kevin Song has been eliminated in 4th place.
 

Song Crippled

Kevin Song raised to $50,000 from early position and was re-raised all in by David Peat for another $231,000.  Song called with AT but was way behind Peat's AQ.  The board came 542KJ doubling Peat up and crippling Song.

Tim West Eliminated 5th ($41,410)

Tim West moves all in from the cutoff and Brian Rast reraises all in from the button.  Everyone folds and West shows A6.  Rast turns over AK and the board comes 1010592.  Rast wins the pot and eliminates West from the tournament in 5th place.
