Eugene Katchalov Wins Event #12 ($118,785)

John Smith moved all in from the button for his last $60,000.  Eugene Katchalov makes the call with A 6 and John turns over J 8 and is behind.  The flop comes out A 5 3.  The turn gives John some hope when the 5 comes but the 3 on the rver seals his fate and gives Eugene the win.

John Smith took 2nd place and collected $51,825.
 

Blinds Up

Blinds are now $2,000-$4,000 with a $500 ante.  Eugene continues to chip away at John without showdown.
 

Lead Change

Eugene Katchalov has just taken the chip lead in this heads up match.  He has taken down three uncontested pots on the flop and now has $290,000.
 

Heads Up

Heads up play is about to begin between John Smith and Eugene Katchalov.  Eugene holds a slight chip lead with $240,000 to John's $200,000.
 

Ben Armstrong Eliminated In 3rd Place ($31,095)

Eugene Katchalov made a raise to $9,000 pre flop and was called by Ben Armstrong in the small blind.  The flop came down T 7 6 and Ben Armstrong bet out.  Eugene Katchalov moved all in and Ben quickly called.  Eugene showed K K but he was up against Ben Armstrong's huge drawing hand of T 9.  The turn and river bricked out for Ben and he was eliminated in 3rd place.
 

Mark Mulloy Eliminated In 4th Place ($20,730)

Ben Armstrong raised from the button and was called by Mark Mulloy in the big blind.  They both saw a flop of T Q 5 and Mark bet out, Ben quickly moved all in and was called by Mark.  Mark turned over Q J and was trailing Ben's K Q.  The turn came 7 and the river was a 4 giving Ben the pot and eliminating Mark Mulloy.

Mark Mulloy has taken down three consecutive pots by moving all in over the top of a pre flop raiser each time.  He is now sitting with about $80,000.

Alexandr Uskov Eliminated In 5th Place ($10,365)

On the second hand of the evening we had our first elimination.  Alexandr Uskov moved all-in for his last $80,000 and was called by John Smith.  John turned over Q Q which was slightly ahead of Alexandr's A K.  The board came out 5 2 T 4 8 and John's hand held up.  John Smith is now a big chip leader with over $200,000.
