Martin Hansen Wins Event #26

Martin Hansen moves all-in and is called by Mikhail Menaker. Hansen shows A T and Menaker shows A 4. The board comes out A 9 6 Q 8 and Martin wins the pot and the hand.

Mikhail Menaker earns $66,945 for his second place finish.

Martin Hansen wins the $2,500 No Limit Hold 'Em tournament  for $138,090, a $25,000 WPT Championship seat, and the gold bracelet.

Going into heads up play the two opponents, Martin Hansen and Mikhail Menaker are virtually even in chips.
 

Joseph Pecoraro Eliminated In 3rd Place ($33,475)

Joseph Pecoraro moved all-in from the button and was called by Martin Hansen out of the big blind. Pecoraro showed K 5 and was behind the A T held by Hansen. The board came out A 6 3 Q J giving the pot to Hansen.
 

Joseph Pecoraro Chips Up

Joseph Pecoraro has started to amp up his play and is starting to accumulate some chips.

On a board of A J 9, Pecoraro bets $18,0000 and is called by Martin Hansen. On the turn an A falls and once again Pecoraro bets out, this time for $25,000. Hansen makes the call and the two opponents see the river fall a J. Pecoraro moves all-in and Hansen folds.

Pecoraro now holds around $175,000 and is now second in chips.

Juan Vasquez moved all-in pre flop and was called by Mikhail Menkar. Vasquez showed J J and was in a coinflip scenario with Menkar who held K Q. The board came out K 9 3 Q 4 eliminating Vasquez in 4th place and adding chips to his massive stack.
 

John Brown Eliminated In 5th Place ($13,695)

John Brown moved all-in from under the gun. Action folded all the way around to Mikhail Menaker in the big blind who made the call. Brown turned over J T and was in trouble against the K T of Menaker. The board came A 5 4 2 6 which was no help to Brown.

Mikhail Menaker adds to his massive chip lead holding over half the chips in play.
 

Juan Vasquez Doubles Up Again

Juan Vasquez moved all-in from late position and was called by Martin Hansen out of the small blind. Vasqez showed A J and was trailing the Q Q of Hansen. The flop brought 9 4 3 and the turn came a 7. The river hit Vasquez hard when the A fell. Vasquez doubles up to about $60,000.
 

Plays Slows

Play has been slow and quiet over the past 15 hands.

Players are mostly trading blinds and looking to climb up the pay ladder.
 

Juan Vazquez Doubles Up

Jospeph Pecoraro raises to $10,000 preflop and action folds around to Juan Vasquez who moves all-in for his last $17,000. Pecoraro makes the call and shows 8 7. Vasquez flips up A 4 and has a slight lead. The flop brings the T 6 3. The turn comes an 8 and gives the lead to Pecoraro. The A on the river gives the hand back to Vasquez and allows him to double up to $55,000.
