Updates on Final Day (Jul 06, 05)

Grey doubles up

David Grey moved all in for $75,000 before the draw and got reraised by Mark Weitzman for isolation. When Grey saw that Weitzman was drawing a card he decided to stand pad with a Q-10 high. Weitzman paired and mucked his hand in disgust.

Russel Salzer eliminated

Russ Salzer moved his last $40,000 in pre draw and John Hennigan called, standing pad. Salzer drew one card and Hennigan showed 8-6-5-4-3, Salzer mucked. Salzer takes home $49,345 for the event. We are now down to 5 players.

Take a break

The players just had a 15 minute beak and now will play one more hour with the blinds at the same level. Since the players played so long last night they will play the first level of the day for 2 hours and then go back to the normal 1 hour per level structure.

Lisandro is out

David Grey was the first to fire a bet for $28,000, then next to act was Jeffrey Lisandro who moved all in. When the table folded to John Hennigan he reraised all in. Grey folded and both Hennigan and Lisandro stood pad(Hennigan had Lisandro covered). Hennigan showed 10-8-7-3-2 and Lisandro couldn't beat it with his 10-9 low. He then rabbit hunted to see that if he had drawn, if he would have won the hand(he would have). Lisandro takes home $29,605 for his efforts.

Dewey has some fight left in him

Dewey Tomko had to put about half his stack in pre draw to call Mark Weitzman's raise. After the draw Weitzman put Tomko all in with his bet. Tomko called and almost with out even seeing Tomko's hand, Weitzman mucked.

Grey doubles up to start off the day

David Grey got all his chips in pre draw for $65,000. Mark Weitzman called and ended up with a Queen high but Grey drew to a Jack high to win the hand.

The players are about to start

It was a slightly late start due to the Jack Binion ceremony that went on at 3:30pm, but they are about to be underway. The blinds are at $4,000-$8,000 with a $1,000 ante and we are down to 7 players.
