Card Player Media is proud to announce its newest magazine partner,
Card Player Polska, the first and only magazine in the Polish market.
Slated for a March 2007 release, the magazine will feature translated poker content from
Card Player and
Card Player Europe, as well as local content tailored to the Polish poker community. The initial circulation of 20,000 monthly copies will be distributed to casinos, press kiosks, hotels, and subscribers.
In recent months, Poland has witnessed an exponential increase in interest in the game of poker. The game is exponentially growing in popularity in the increasingly affluent European country, so much so that the
European Poker Tour recently added a new stop in Warsaw, Poland. By some estimates there are 500,000 Polish online poker players, who spend about $3.5 million annually on online games.
