The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians opened their bingo hall in the Inland Empire of Southern California in the mid 1980s and quickly established themselves as a luxurious gaming destination and a valued member of the community. The property was so popular that it was expanded in 1994 to include a 100,000 square-foot casino, then in 2005 a completely new 480,000 square-foot facility was built to include several new, cutting-edge amenities.
Today, San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino draws more than 2.2 million visitors each year and remains the best full-service gaming facility in Southern California, offering over 140 table games, an elegant and spacious poker room with 60 tables, over 3,000 slot machines, one of the largest bingo halls in the country, fantastic dining options and nationally recognized music acts and other entertainment.
Poker
Playing in the San Manuel Casino poker room is a real pleasure. Not only is it a non-smoking room, but a wall of windows allows players to get a full view of the adjacent casino without having to break their concentration and battle the noise from the neighboring slot machines.
The room boasts 60 poker tables with a number of games and limits that include Texas Hold’em, 7-Card Stud and Omaha Hi-Lo variations with stakes as high as $20-$40 for limit and $300-$500 for no-limit. The full-service staff is quick with requests for table-side dining and there are a multitude of rewards available to loyal players.
“We like to reward our poker players with a number of different incentives,” said Table Games Director Mike Schell. “In addition to high hand payouts on Tuesday and Thursdays, and a money wheel each Friday, players are also eligible for both the bad beat jackpot and the $100,000 super jackpot, which gets paid out when a player loses with four of a kind or better.”
So far in 2012, the poker room has paid out $1,164,510 in jackpots alone and that doesn’t even account for the room’s monthly and quarterly freerolls.
“The poker room also has monthly $33,000 freerolls for our regular players,” said Schell. “Each year, we also host three to four $100,000 freerolls with the next one scheduled for May 24. The bottom line is that you play here for the action and stay here for the rewards.”
Table Games
San Manuel Casino has a number of dining and entertainment options available to their patrons, but their primary focus has always been gaming. Unlike other California card rooms, the San Manuel Casino offers full Las Vegas-style gambling for their customers and is constantly adding to their stable of games.
“We’re all about the full gaming experience here,” said Executive Director of Gaming Operations Jimmy Starcher. “If the customers want something, we’ll give it to them. We’ve recently added EZ Baccarat and Fortune Pai Gow and we will soon be adding Mystery Card Roulette into the mix as well.”
The casino also offers Blackjack, Let It Ride, Mini-Baccarat, 3 and 4-Card Poker and Craps. Players can place wagers as low as $5 or gamble big with $2,000 bets. Players in the High Limit Room also enjoy a private lounge with food and beverage services.
Bingo
San Manuel Casino’s history rests with Bingo and it’s no surprise that the property boasts one of the biggest and most luxurious Bingo halls in the country. The state-of-the-art Yuhaviatam Room has both projection and high-definition plasma screens to display live games and video feeds, four LED boards, color-coded hand held units for electronic Bingo and even a non-smoking section.
“We’ve got the second largest bingo hall in the United States and each year we have over half a million people come through the doors to play,” said Executive Director of Operations Steve Lengel. “The players can choose between classic or digital gaming options and because we can seat up to 2,500 people, the payouts are big. Just last week, we had someone take home more than $130,000.”
San Manuel’s Bingo Hall has been voted one of the best spots to play in California and the always courteous staff is committed to bring its customers the best playing experience around.
Club Serrano
Perhaps the most important addition to the San Manuel Casino is the improved player rewards program, Club Serrano. Players can use their free membership cards to accumulate points for their Bingo and slot play that can be used for dining upgrades, complimentary beverages, discounts and much more.
“We’ve been tracking play for awhile, but our customers wanted a tiered program that rewarded them for increasing their play,” said Lengel. “Now each player can sign up for a Club Serrano card, which has three different levels of membership, Classic, Emerald and Diamond. Basically, the more you play, the more you get in return.”
Club Serrano members are also eligible for other promotional offers, such as special event invitations, free tournaments, monthly drawings and perhaps even more important, local business discounts. Locals and tourists alike can use their card outside of the casino for hotel accommodations, restaurants, spas, salons and even car washes.
“We take a lot of pride in how well we respond to customer feedback,” said Lengel. “If there’s a new game the players want or more dining and entertainment options, we have no problem accommodating those requests. We are constantly taking in surveys or running focus groups to make sure that our players have the best experience possible.”
Other Amenities
