We’ll kick things off with a comparison of each online poker room’s key features, as seen in the table below.

As you will notice, these are all offshore poker sites, meaning they’re hosted outside of the United States and are completely legal to play on.

CoinPoker – Best Site for Rakeback Rebates

All of the best Omaha poker sites understand the importance of rakeback. Nowadays, most of them make direct payments, though none do it as well as CoinPoker.

If you play using CHP, the site’s custom cryptocurrency token, you’ll receive an incredible 33% rakeback, which is amongst the best rakeback deals in the industry. There are other benefits too, of course, including secure withdrawals delivered within 24 hours.

Ignition – Best Site for Casino Players

This site is ideal for those who enjoy casino games as much as playing poker. For starters, the welcome bonus is split 50-50 between the casino and poker room. In addition, you can play at either using the same balance.

However, serious poker players will also benefit from the number of part-timers at the tables. Let’s just say the standard isn’t the best at Ignition.

ACR Poker – Best Site for Million-Dollar Guarantees

ACR Poker is packed with all kinds of huge tournaments. And it’s not just the Venom, a NLH tournament whose guarantee reached $12.5 million in 2024, either.

There’s also the Venom PLO, for instance, with a guaranteed $2 million up for grabs. The Online Super Series (OSS) is held at least once per year, including a number of PLO and PLO8 events.

Black Chip Poker – Best Site for 5-Card Omaha

Most sites focus heavily on Hold’em, but Black Chip Poker offers a sizable selection of busy cash games for all formats. It’s one of the few places offering Seven-Card Stud and Stud Eight-Or-Better, for instance.

However, you can also play 5-Card Omaha (PLO5) at Black Chip Poker. Tournaments range from $0.55 to $55, with Pot Limit cash games starting at $0.01 / $0.02 and rising to $5 / $10.

BetOnline – Best Site for Download-Free Omaha Poker Games

The best PLO sites offer slick apps and user-friendly desktop clients. That’s nice to see, of course, but some sites overcomplicate things, with huge software downloads and annoying updates.

At BetOnline, however, there’s no need for any of that. Although you can download software, it’s also possible to play from a browser. Just log into your account and instantly jump into a game.

Bovada – Best Site for Fast-Paced Poker Games

If you’re looking for high octane Omaha poker action, you could do much worse than Bovada. Enjoy multiple turbo tournaments throughout the day as well as Zone Poker Omaha tables 24/7.

Zone Poker is Bovada’s own take on fast-fold poker. Don’t like the look of your starting hand? Fold and immediately head straight to the next table ready to play.

Reviews of the Best PLO Poker Sites

Now we’ll take a much closer look at each of the best Omaha poker sites, in the following series of reviews.

1. CoinPoker – Leading All-Round Site for PLO Poker Games

  • Poker Network: Proprietary
  • License: Curaçao
  • Payments Accepted: BTC, USDT, ETH, BNB, POL, CHP

Coinpoker logo

There simply aren’t any better Pot Limit Omaha sites than CoinPoker.

First of all, the software is sleek and stylish. It won’t take up much space on your device nor does it require constant updates.

Next, the bonuses and CoinPoker are unmatched. The welcome offer is the best in the industry, as is the 33% rakeback rate.

Finally, it’s also possible to play 5-Card Omaha, both in cash game and tournament formats.

CoinPoker Rating: 9.5/10

  • Poker Games Variety 9/10 – Play PLO and PLO5 cash games from as little as $0.01 / $0.02 to $1,000 / $2,000. CoinPoker frequently hosts high-stakes pros like Tony G, who claimed the biggest pot in online poker history at these Omaha tables.
  • Poker Tournaments 9/10 – Regular Omaha and 5-Card Omaha tournaments from just $0.50 through to the weekly $5,000 buy-in “Big Wrap” event. Great selection of Hold’em tournaments too.
  • Traffic and Player Base 9/10 – Enjoy busy tables, especially at lower-stakes, throughout the day. The standard is tougher than average at the higher-stakes Omaha tables, though.
  • Software Quality 10/10 – Both the mobile app and desktop client look great, but they’re also compact. Not only are they quick and easy to download and install, you won’t need to update often. When you do, it’s fast.
  • Mobile Friendliness 10/10 – The app is remarkably easy to use and looks like what it is – a modern, well-designed piece of software. Navigation is simple and the filters are intuitive.
  • Bonuses 10/10 – You won’t find a better rate of rakeback anywhere in the world than the 33% offered by CoinPoker. In addition, the welcome bonus is the biggest in the industry at the moment.
  • Freerolls 9/10 – Enjoy multiple free-to-enter tournaments every single day, with prizepools of $100. However, there are no PLO freeroll events, only Hold’em.

2. Ignition – Play PLO Instantly Without Downloads

  • Poker Network: PaiWangLuo
  • License: Curaçao
  • Payments Accepted: BTC, USDT, ETH, LTC, BCH, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Voucher

Ignition logo

In addition to providing one of the country’s best Bitcoin casinos, Ignition is also among the top Omaha sites.

Enjoy cash games and tournaments with a wide range of buy-ins, including Omaha Hi-Lo (PLO8) games.

There’s no direct rakeback here, but you’ll earn points via the Ignition Rewards program. These can be traded in for cash.

With same-day cryptocurrency withdrawals, usually processed in less than a couple of hours, you won’t wait long for your winnings.

Ignition Poker Rating: 9.2/10

  • Poker Games Variety 9/10 – Play Omaha Hi-Lo, as well as the classic form of the game, from as little as $0.02 / $0.05 – ideal for lower-stakes players. Fixed Limit games rise to $30 / $60, with $10 / $20 for Pot and No Limit tables.
  • Poker Tournaments 9/10 – Like the cash games, Ignition tournaments are also designed for low to mid-stakes players. You won’t find many buy-ins above $300, for instance.
  • Traffic and Player Base 10/10 – Ignition is among the busier poker rooms, with a steady flow of opponents throughout the day. The standard is weaker than most, due to the casual players from the accompanying casino.
  • Software Quality 9/10 – Ignition’s desktop client leaves much to be desired. What really matters, though, is that it offers everything you’d expect and is very easy to use.
  • Mobile Friendliness 10/10 – We love the Instant Play option, which allows you to open a mobile browser, log in, and sit right down at a poker table. There’s no need to mess around installing software.
  • Bonuses 9/10 – The welcome bonus is still very good, even though the headline amount is split evenly between the poker room and the casino. Their loyalty program, Ignition Rewards, makes up for the lack of rakeback.
  • Freerolls 8/10 – This is one of the few areas in which Ignition could improve. There are weekly $2,500 NLH freerolls, but only for regulars through the Ignition Rewards program. You won’t find any free-to-play Omaha events.

3. ACR Poker – Home to the $2 Million PLO Venom Tournament

  • Poker Network: Winning Poker Network
  • License: Curaçao
  • Payments Accepted: BTC, LTC, ETH, USDT, P2P, MoneyGram

Americas Card Room logo

ACR Poker, which has been one of the best Omaha poker sites since 2001, is next on our list of recommendations.

The site boasts one of the smartest-looking Android apps and its welcome offer is only marginally inferior to that of CoinPoker.

Additionally, there’s an incredible selection of multi-million dollar guarantees, most notably the $12.5 million Venom. That’s a NLH event, but the PLO equivalent still carries a mammoth $2 million guarantee.

ACR Poker Rating: 9.1/10

  • Poker Games Variety 10/10 – There are more non-Hold’em games at ACR Poker than most sites. It’s not just PLO, PLO8, and 5-Card Omaha though – expect busy Seven-Card Stud cash games too. Try Blitz Poker for fast-fold Omaha action.
  • Poker Tournaments 10/10 – In 2024, the Venom, Venom Mystery Bounty and PLO Venom offered combined guarantees of $22.5 million. There’s also weekly Sunday specials and the regular Online Super Series to look forward to.
  • Traffic and Player Base 9/10 – ACR Poker is never short of players. It’s the main brand of the Winning Poker Network, one of the busiest in the industry. The standard isn’t as soft as some sites, though.
  • Software Quality 9/10 – The mobile app looks fantastic and works really well, as does the desktop software. It’s frustrating how often it needs to be updated, though. Unfortunately, it also takes much longer than CoinPoker to install and update.
  • Mobile Friendliness 9/10 – Sadly, there’s no ACR Poker iOS app, otherwise we’d have awarded full marks. On Android devices, it’s one of the few mobile apps that can compete with CoinPoker.
  • Bonuses 9/10 – Only CoinPoker offers a better welcome bonus, but it’s pretty close. There’s also the Elite Benefits program, which is a solid loyalty scheme. However, we’d recommend opting out and taking the 27% rakeback instead.
  • Freerolls 9/10 – Unlike some of the other PLO poker sites on our list, you will find Omaha freerolls at ACR. There aren’t many, though, and prizepools tend to be small, usually around $50.

4. Black Chip Poker – Busy 5-Card Omaha (PLO5) and PLO Poker Tables

  • Poker Network: Winning Poker Network
  • License: Curaçao
  • Payments Accepted: BTC, LTC, ETH, USDT, P2P, MoneyGram

Black Chip Poker logo

Black Chip Poker is a sister site of ACR. Both are part of the busy Winning Poker Network, meaning a plentiful supply of opponents.

As such, you’ll also be able to enter the massive Venom tournaments and play a wide variety of different cash games. These include PLO, 5-Card Omaha, PLO8 and even No Limit Omaha.

Black Chip Poker is also among the best PLO sites for rakeback, with a rate of 27% on offer.

Black Chip Poker Rating: 9.0/10

  • Poker Games Variety 10/10 – Black Chip Poker is one of the few sites with a thriving Seven-Card Stud community. But you can also play Omaha, PLO8, and 5-Card Omaha cash games from just $0.01 / $0.02 up to $5 / $10.
  • Poker Tournaments 10/10 – Enjoy huge tournaments like the Venom, as well as a range of interesting formats. For instance, you can play PKO, Mystery Bounty, and even Turbo Omaha tournaments.
  • Traffic and Player Base 9/10 – As part of the Winning Poker Network, you won’t struggle to find a cash game. Tournament fields can be pretty big, too. However, the standard is a little better than some other PLO sites.
  • Software Quality 9/10 – Like ACR Poker, the quality of the software here is phenomenally good. We just wish the updates were faster and less frequent. Still, if that’s all we have to complain about, it’s obviously working well.
  • Mobile Friendliness 9/10 – Another site with no iOS mobile app, sadly. Android users, however, are getting arguably the best app in the business. It looks fabulous and offers all you need to play Omaha.
  • Bonuses 9/10 – With a competitive welcome offer, regular weekly reload bonuses and the possibility of 27% rakeback, few sites can compete in terms of promotions. The Elite Benefits program isn’t bad, either.
  • Freerolls 8/10 – Expect around eight-to-ten daily freeroll tournaments during the week, two or three of which will be Omaha events. The prize pools are usually just $50, though.

5. BetOnline – Top Omaha Site for Easy Poker Games

  • Poker Network: Chico Poker
  • License: Panama Gaming Commission
  • Payments Accepted: BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, BCH, DOGE, 10x more crypto coins, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express

BetOnline logo

BetOnline is among the best Omaha poker sites to try if you’re looking for soft cash games. With so many sports bettors trying their luck, the standard is pretty fishy.

Another poker site that accepts cryptocurrency payments, you can receive withdrawals in a matter of hours via Bitcoin or 15 other tokens.

The site is tailored for lower-stakes players, with busy Instant Play cash games and many smaller buy-in tournaments throughout the day.

BetOnline Poker Rating: 8.9/10

  • Poker Games Variety 9/10 – There’s no 5-Card Omaha here, sadly. However, there’s no shortage of Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo cash tables and tournaments.
  • Poker Tournaments 9/10 – BetOnline puts up millions of dollars in monthly guarantees, including the weekly $100,000 Sunday Showdown for Hold’em players. The regular Omaha tournament buy-ins start from just $1.10 and rise to $55.
  • Traffic and Player Base 10/10 – This site is part of the Chico Poker network, so there’s always a lot of players around. Particularly at the lower-stakes tables. And thanks to the sportsbook bettors, the games can be soft.
  • Software Quality 9/10 – BetOnline offers download-free play in your browser, courtesy of the Instant Play option. But the desktop client is not just user-friendly, it’s one of the prettiest out there.
  • Mobile Friendliness 10/10 – There is a convenient web app, but no native software. However, you don’t have to use it, thanks to the Instant Play option available in any up-to-date browser.
  • Bonuses 9/10 – BetOnline supplies a competitive signup bonus for new players, plus there’s the RISE reward program. Among other things, it offers tiered rakeback that ranges from 10% to 25%.
  • Freerolls 7/10 – The weakest area for BetOnline is the lack of Omaha freerolls. In fact, there aren’t too many free-to-play tournaments of any kind, even NLH. At least the welcome package includes 21 free satellite entries.

User Experience at PLO Poker Sites

We regularly use each of the best Omaha poker sites highlighted in our guide. Here’s a little more detail on how we find them.

CoinPoker

A user-friendly desktop client is supported by an equally good app. They’re both stylish, too, with a crisp, modern look-and-feel.

The 33% rakeback is easy to get if you know anything about cryptocurrency. It’s not hard to purchase CHP, CoinPoker’s own token. Though I’ll concede that perhaps crypto isn’t for everyone.

I’d love to see a few more games added, such as Seven-Card Stud, but the selection of Omaha and Hold’em games is good.

Ignition

The best Omaha sites make things easily accessible on mobile. Ignition is no different, and you have the option of playing in a browser, without downloading any apps.

It’s a shame that the welcome bonus must be split between the poker room and casino. If you’re not into table games or slots, it feels like a bit of a waste.

On the bright side, the standard is pretty weak, thanks to all the casual players from the casino. That’s as true for Omaha as it is for the Hold’em tables.

ACR Poker

Visually-speaking, this is probably my favorite app, I just get a tad frustrated with how often it wants to update. And they’re never small, quick updates, either.

ACR Poker is home to some busy cash games, as well as massive tournaments. In September 2023, for instance, the OSS PLO guarantee was an impressive $500,000.

If you’re an Omaha player and you’re not getting involved in the $2 million PLO Venom what are you even doing with your life?

Black Chip Poker

Like ACR Poker, this site is part of WPN. As such, you’ll notice that it’s basically a skin of its sister site.

That’s no bad thing though. You’ll have access to the same huge PLO tournaments and packed cash games. You can also pick up a second welcome bonus.

The standard is a bit less fishy here than some others, so bring your A-game. That’s just the price you’ll pay for playing one of the country’s best Omaha poker sites.

BetOnline

This is another site that makes life super simple. Although the desktop software is very good, and there’s also a progressive web app, you don’t need them. I just play instantly from my browser, with zero fuss.

The lack of freerolls will probably disappoint newcomers looking to sharpen their skills. Everything else is geared up to the lower-stakes player.

Tournaments are usually affordable, with tons of regular $10 and $20 events. Not to mention the weak standard of play, especially the low-stakes Omaha and Hold’em cash tables.

Available Bonuses at Omaha Poker Sites

All of our favorite Omaha poker sites are stacked with rewarding bonuses. In the following section of our guide, we’ll explain more about how each promotion works.

Welcome Bonus

It’s been a very long time since we saw any PLO sites without a welcome offer of some kind. The industry is a competitive one, and they’re all trying to stand out.

This is usually a deposit match, though some brands like to be creative with the signup incentives.

Match Deposit Bonus

This type of offer involves a real money transaction. Fund your account and receive a percentage of your chosen figure as a reward.

For example, a 125% deposit match would yield a $250 bonus on a deposit of $200. This will be released slowly as you begin to play.

No Deposit Bonus

From time to time, the best Omaha poker sites might run a special no deposit bonus. As you can probably guess, you’ll receive a small amount of bonus money, with no need to actually do anything.

Since there are few risks to the player, this is a valuable promotion. This also explains why you don’t see them that much anymore.

Reload Bonus

Any reward that’s paid for topping up your real money poker account is known as a reload bonus.

There are usually deposit match offers, only with a lower percentage than for welcome bonuses. Expect something in the region of 10% to 50%.

Tournament Tickets

Some sites, like BetOnline poker, supply free tournament entries as part of the welcome package.

They’re not freerolls, though many brands also include these in the signup bonus. Instead, you’ll gain access to satellites that you’d normally have to pay to enter.

VIP Rewards

The best Omaha poker sites run a structured loyalty scheme where you’ll earn progressively larger rewards as you accrue points.

ACR Poker’s Elite Benefits program is one of the best examples, though Ignition Rewards isn’t bad either.

Refer-a-Friend

Some of the top brands pay bonus cash if you encourage your buddies to join. They’ll have to use your unique URL or promo code and, if they do, there’s a lucrative reward in it for you.

Black Chip is among the best PLO poker sites with friend referral rewards. Expect $50 for each new recruit while your friends will receive $25 themselves.

Most Popular Omaha Poker Games

What are the different types of Omaha offered by our recommended sites? Let’s find out.

Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO)

Take a standard game of No Limit Hold’em, but limit betting to the size of the pot and give everyone two extra hole cards. Congratulations, you’ve got yourself a game of PLO.

Although the changes are subtle, the ramifications are dramatic. Four cards results in many more permutations, so the odds and outs are quite different for Omaha than Hold’em.

It’s harder to bluff players, for instance, as the possibility of them holding a big draw is so much greater. In addition, you’ll need to take greater care over your starting hand selection.

PLO Eight or Better (PLO8)

What if a regular PLO game was somehow split into two? Half of each pot would go to the best hand, just like normal. But the remainder would be reserved for the player with the best qualifying lowball hand.

Well, that’s exactly what Omaha Eight Or Better is. It’s often called Omaha Hi-Lo because there’s a payout for both the strongest high and low hands. The low hand must contain five unpaired cards of eight and under (including aces) to qualify.

If you’re learning how to play PLO8, throw your standard Pot Limit Omaha odds calculator out of the window. Although the rules are similar, it’s a completely different game. The best starting hand, for instance, is A-A-2-3, as opposed to A-A-K-K in regular PLO.

Five Card Omaha (PLO5)

Can you guess how PLO5 might differ from a standard game of Omaha? That’s right – there’s an extra card in everyone’s starting hand.

You still have to play exactly two of these when forming your hand, so the strategy doesn’t change a huge amount. It’s simply another way to increase the number of potential hands you can make, creating more action and closer equities between players.

All of the best Pot Limit Omaha sites offer this game, including CoinPoker, our number one pick.

Six Card Omaha (PLO6)

Add two extra hole cards to your PLO game and you’ve got PLO6. Even more action-packed than PLO5, these games can get a little wild.

Although PLO5 has become quite popular in recent years, the six-card variant has yet to take off. As such, you won’t even find it at the very best Omaha poker sites.

Still, it’s a fun one to throw into your Dealer’s Choice home games.

No Limit Omaha

This is a more aggressive version of Omaha, as the betting restrictions are completely removed. That makes it a little easier to bluff someone off a hand early on in a pot.

However, it requires a lot of bravery to shove your entire stack, given how likely you are to be facing a big draw. You may have flopped the nuts and still be an equity underdog!

Pot Limit is the most common betting structure for an Omaha game, but some sites, including ACR Poker, do offer NLO.

Courchevel Poker

This rarely-seen form of poker follows the same kind of setup as 5-Card Omaha. The main difference, though, is a big one – the first community card is revealed while the hole cards are being dealt.

That’s right – you’ll see the door card before you even pick up your own starting hand. The rest of a Courchevel hand plays out like any other form of Omaha, meaning four betting rounds, including a flop, turn and river.

Seeing the first of the three flop cards early affects your pre-flop strategy a little.

Other Omaha Variants

There are many other poker variants based on Omaha, though they’re not usually playable online.

A classic example is Irish Poker. This is pretty much the same as a standard Omaha game, but you discard two of the four cards in your hand. This occurs on the flop.

Pineapple and Crazy Pineapple are variations of Irish that involve just three cards. In the former, you’ll discard one from your hand before the flop is dealt. The latter requires a post-flop discard.

Payment Options for Playing Omaha Poker Online

We’ve seen what’s available at the best Omaha poker sites, but how is it possible to get involved? Discover how to deposit and withdraw in the next part of our guide.

Online Bank Transfer

Regular bank wires are one of the slowest ways to withdraw and many sites don’t accept deposits this way at all. Despite this, many players use bank transfers as they lack alternatives.

In recent years, we’ve seen many fintech solutions developed that have dramatically improved online bank transfers. Trustly is a great example, which allows you to deposit and withdraw in a matter of hours.

Debit and Credit Cards

The best PLO sites accept Visa and Mastercard payments, with many allowing American Express, Discover, and Diners Club too. These major card processing companies have been offering reliable and secure transfers for decades.

Although deposits are instant, you could have to wait anywhere from 48 hours to five business days to receive a withdrawal.

In addition, some credit card companies automatically flag online casino payments, so you may have to deal with issues on the backend.

eWallets

Many leading online poker rooms also feature eWallets such as Neteller, PayPal, and Skrill. These also offer instant deposits, but withdrawals tend to be faster than cards. It all depends on the site’s internal payment processing speeds.

Ewallets also serve as a great place to store your poker bankroll. Keeping these funds separate from day-to-day spending is an important part of a responsible gambling strategy.

Cryptocurrencies

Our favorite way to transact when playing online poker is cryptocurrency. Why? For starters, these digital payment methods facilitate same-day withdrawals, often within just an hour or two. They also help you remain anonymous online.

All of the best Omaha poker sites now accept Bitcoin, Tether, and Ethereum as the absolute minimum. Brands like BetOnline offer dozens of options, while CoinPoker even has its own custom-built token.

Prepaid Cards

These are usually powered by major suppliers like Mastercard and Visa, and they work just like a debit card. The key difference, though, is that you can only spend the credit which has been preloaded.

This is a great way to manage your poker transactions responsibly, and it also protects you in the event of theft and fraud. Prepaid cards also make great presents for the poker player in your life, as they’re just like gift cards.

Pay in Cash with Retail Partner

Many of the country’s best Omaha poker sites partner with retail businesses, allowing you to deposit cash into your account. However, such sites must be licensed and regulated in the US.

If poker is illegal in your state, you won’t be able to take advantage of this type of payment method. The only PLO sites available to you will be based offshore.

Pros and Cons of Omaha Poker Sites

Playing at Pot Limit Omaha sites might be right for you, but perhaps not everyone. Here are the advantages and disadvantages of using them.

Pros

  • Busy cash tables at all limits
  • Multiple Omaha variations offered
  • Generous bonuses and promotions
  • Ultra-fast cryptocurrency payments
  • Easily accessible on mobile and tablet

Cons

  • Usually licensed outside of the country
  • Might need a VPN to play
  • Often lacking in PLO freerolls
