Starting today (June 9), World Series of Poker single-table satellites will be spread at the Rio, the home of this year's WSOP. The buy-ins and schedule for the single-table satellites will vary depending on demand, but will be available for all 45 events and will run nearly 24-hours a day.

The WSOP kicks-off June 25 when the super satellites start taking place. The first tourney of the 2006 WSOP is the $1,500 no-limit hold'em event June 27. The main event starts July 28.

A freeroll is scheduled to take place at the Rio Sunday, June 18, at 7 p.m. The winner receives entry into the $10,000 main event.

Players can qualify for the freeroll by playing 50 hours of live action poker between June 1 and June 16, or by winning the $40 buy-in tournament that takes place at noon each day. The Rio will also add $6,000 to the prize pool for runner-ups.

This is the second freeroll to take place at the Rio this month. The first is scheduled to take place this Sunday. Under 40 players are registered for this event, and the winner will receive entry into the main event.
