Call of DutyHeaven Media and Full Tilt Poker have come together to launch the Full Tilt Poker Challenge, a competition which consists of a combination of the highest profile esports tournaments.

The Challenge will run on European esports cups website, Esports Heaven, and there will be a prize fund of €6,000 in cash across four events ⎯ Counter-Strike: Source (€2,000 in prize money), Call of Duty 4 (€2,000), Team Fortress 2 (€1,000), and Quake Live (€1,000).

Heaven Media’s Corin Cole, said, “It’s really fantastic to have Full Tilt Poker on board as a sponsor for these four tournaments, they will be extraordinarily popular with the esports community. Stay tuned for another exciting project between Full Tilt Poker and Heaven Media in the very near future!”

While Full Tilt Poker dabbles in the video game world, Microsoft Game Studios is well on its way toward the release of its Xbox Live poker game, Full House Poker.

The Australian classification board has given the game a “G”, for general audiences, an equivalent rating to PEGI 7. An act which was surprising for some, considering Australia’s common censorship standards.

However, when a select number of Xbox Live Gold members were invited to a closed beta, the invitation stated a Teen rating in the U.S. and a PEGI 12 rating in the UK.

Full House Poker is said to be Microsoft Studios’ next 1 Vs. 100, except this time Microsoft is bringing the world of poker, not trivia, to the cybersports masses.
