Thomas MarcheseOne of the final large poker tournament series of the year will begin on Friday, November 26 at Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Five Diamond World Poker Classic tournament series will feature a total of 17 tournaments and the World Poker Tour $10,000 no-limit hold’em championship event will run from December 3-8. Card Player’s live reporting team will be on hand at the championship tournament to bring you all of the action in live coverage.

Many of the top contenders in the Card Player Player of the Year race will be sure to participate in the tournament series, including current leader Thomas Marchese and his adversary, Dwyte Pilgrim. Just 910 points separate the top two POY candidates so look for them to be active in the preliminary events as well. You can check back periodically for tournament results throughout the event on the tournament series’ landing page.

Games spread during the tournament series will include no-limit hold’em, Omaha eight-or-better, and pot-limit Omaha. There will be a Seniors no-limit hold’em event on Sunday, November 28.

There are a total of four satellite events on the agenda as well. There will be two $1,080 super satellite events for the WPT championship event hosted on Dec. 2 and another on Dec. 3, the day the championship event begins.
