The PokerStars.com UK & Ireland Poker Tour Galway main event finally gets going today at The Radisson Blu Hotel, Galway, Ireland.
After a day’s delay in order to give players a chance to attend despite difficult weather conditions, the €560 buy-in main event will begin at noon, kicking off season II of the tour.
The tournament will now be a three-day event with just one starting day, meaning the final table will be held on Sunday.
Last year’s champion was Padraig Parkinson. The well-known Irish pro beat 258 opponents to take home the top prize of €125,000.
