Scott PalmerNosebleed regulars Scott “URnotINdanger2” Palmer and Patrik Antonius did battle on Friday at the highest stakes offered in no-limit hold’em on Full Tilt Poker. The lengthy match ended with Palmer in the black nearly $250,000 against Antonius.

One of the largest pots of the session occurred as a result of an Antonius failed bluff.

The Action:

The confrontation started when Palmer raised to $2,000 from the button. Antonius three-bet to $6,000, and Palmer called. The flop came 10Spade Suit 9Spade Suit 4Diamond Suit, and Antonius checked.

Palmer bet $7,000, and Antonius called. The turn brought the 8Club Suit. Antonius checked again, and Palmer bet $20,000. Antonius called, and the ASpade Suit landed on the river. Antonius moved all in for about $120,000 (which was about twice the size of the pot), and his opponent called all in for slightly less. Palmer exposed his top two pair, which was good against the pair of sevens. Palmer raked in the $291,994 pot.

According to Card Player’s Texas Hold’em Odds Calculator, Palmer’s hand holds up about 77 percent of the time on the turn.
