On Saturday, Andrew “luckychewy” Lichtenberger celebrated to the tune of $75,000 in a heads-up session of $100-$200 no-limit hold’em on Full Tilt Poker against unknown dutch_maniak.
The contest lasted only about an hour, but that was enough time for the poker pro to record a nice profit at some of the highest stakes he is known to play online.
The largest hand of the match just about ended the battle. Lichtenberger played a turned flush to perfection, getting his opponent to stack off with one pair for a nearly 500-big-blind pot.
Here is a look at the hand:
The Scenario:
Game/Blinds | No-Limit Hold’em | $100-$200 |
Player | Andrew Lichtenberger | dutch_maniak |
Stack Size | $47,643 | $53,237 |
Hand | K 8 | A J |
The Action:
The confrontation started when Lichtenberger raised to $600 from the button. Dutch_maniak three-bet to $2,200, and Lichtenberger four-bet to $5,400. Dutch_maniak called, and the flop came A K 6. Dutch_maniak checked, and Lichtenberger did so as well.
The turn brought the 4, giving Lichtenberger the nut flush. Dutch_maniak bet $7,600, and Lichtenberger called. The 8 fell on the river, and dutch_maniak shoved for slightly more than $40,000, which was almost twice the size of the pot. Lichtenberger called all in for about $35,000 with the nuts and raked in the $95,000 pot.
According to Card Player’s Texas Hold’em Odds Calculator, the players are in a near-perfect coin flip on the flop.
