UB and Absolute Poker are giving their players more reasons to compete in the 2011 tournament leader board (TLB) competitions.
“We’ve revamped our entire leader board system for 2011 to even the playing field and give every player a shot at that huge cash,” Team UB’s Joe Sebok said in a press release. “With more and more of the best poker player’s making their way to UB and Absolute Poker, we expect them to fall in love with our improvements and this year to be one of our best ever.”
The most notable update to the UB and Absolute Poker 2011 contests comes as part of the MTT (multi-table tournament) leader board’s prize structure, which will now focus on rewarding richer prizes for monthly results, while also awarding the top overall performances at the end of 2011 in the Yearly MTT TLB contest.
The Monthly MTT TLB will divvy out a $15,000 prize pool to the top 20 players each month, with the winner pocketing $5,000. The Yearly MTT TLB is raising the stakes to a $116,000 total prize pool — $66,000 cash awarded to the top 10 players across the year and a $50,000 freeroll for the top 100 players. The Yearly TLB winner will scoop a $10,000 World Series of Poker seat plus $10,000 cash, and the runner-up will also win a ticket to the WSOP main event along with $5,000.
