Matt Savage, the world's most popular tournament director, has agreed to become the tournament director for Europe's Showdown Poker Tour. Savage will be on hand at the next four events in August, September, October, and November.
The remaining tournaments have buy-ins ranging from €5,300 to the €10,500 championship event that takes place Nov. 27 at the Casino Esplanade in Hamburg, Germany.
Savage is the former tournament director of the World Series of Poker, is the founder of the Tournament Director's Association, and was the first inductee into the Benny Binion Poker Room Manager Hall of Fame.
He has directed almost 300 televised poker events around the world, and has appeared on and worked with ESPN, Fox Sports Network, YES Network, GSN, the Travel Channel, and many others.
