The rumors are finally over — Phil Hellmuth will not appear on the 12th season of Dancing with the Stars. The cast was announced via a national broadcast just before 7 p.m. PT on Monday.
Hellmuth, who tweeted back in December about the possibility of being on the show, was looking to join Shannon Elizabeth as the second regular on the tournament circuit to grace the dance floor in front of millions of viewers. Elizabeth was a contestant on the sixth season of Dancing with the Stars in 2008.
Despite not being on the ABC hit show, Hellmuth will remain one of the most talked-about players in the upcoming months. Hellmuth, who a couple of months ago parted ways with UB, has been rumored to be meeting with many online sites about a potential sponsorship deal.
