Amy Trodd has won the first English Deepstack Poker Championship at the G Casino, Luton taking down £25,000 for topping the 188-strong field.
Big names such as Julian Thew, Praz Bansi, and Karl Mahrenholz were among the players in the £550 buy in main event which aw 50,000 starting stacks and a one hour clock.
Trodd, who works for Ladbrokes Poker, got heads up against Pino Valentino with a 2:1 chip lead before calling an all in from behind with 8-8 against 9-9. She spiked an 8, breaking Valentino’s heart in the process.
