Betfair Poker Revenue Down 20 Percent

Quarterly Poker Revenue From November To January Falls To £5.2 Million At Betfair

Betfair Plc today announced its interim financial results for the third quarter of its financial year, November 1, 2010 to January 31, 2011.

Betfair Poker suffered a significant downturn in the period as revenue fell 20.5 percent to £5.2 million.

The company made no comment on the performance of its poker business but was bullish about it performance elsewhere which saw overall revenue at the company was up 6.2 percent to £77 million.

David Yu, chief executive officer said, ““We are pleased with the growth we achieved in the third quarter, especially from football and Games. Marketing efficiency continued its improving trend, resulting in a lower cost per acquisition again this quarter whilst also showing strong growth in active customer numbers.”
