The Unibet Open Malta begins today with its main event kicking off at 2 p.m. (local time) at the Casino at Portomaso. The Open which features various side events will run until Mar. 13.
The €1,500 + €150 buy-in main event has a maximum cap of 400 players and a starting chip stack of 15,000. Fans can read about the event as it unfolds live at the blog and watch via online streaming from 4 pm local time..
There will be a €300 + €30 hold’em turbo freezeout at 9 p.m. this evening with 5,000 in starting chips and 15-minute blinds.
Tomorrow (Friday) there will be a €500 + €50 freezeout with a maximum of 50 players. Friday is also lady’s night with Maria Poker’s €100 + €10 freezeout at 7 p.m..
Saturday is Omaha time with the €250 + €25 pot-limit Omaha event at 6 p.m.. There will be 25-minute blinds, a starting stack of 5,000, and a maximum of 70 players.
Finally, Sunday will see a €250 + €25 super satellite freezeout to the Unibet Open Barcelona. 100 players maximum will sit down at 3 p.m. to 5,000 in chips and 25-minute blinds.
