There is so much going on at Unibet.com at the moment as its Open really starts to heat up. Firstly, the second Unibet Open Online event of season three is coming in May, and qualifiers are already running for the fourth stop of the tour, which takes place on live felt in Barcelona.
Those hoping to take part in the €300 + €20 buy-in Unibet Open Online, kicking off on May 15 at 7 p.m. (CET), have various options with daily freerolls and €2 feeder satellites currently up and running.
Then at 10 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, there is a €55 + €5 final satellite, and at 10 p.m. Thursday to Sunday there is a €100 + €10 final satellite.
Players will sit down to 10,000 in chips and a one-hour clock, and will be playing for a guaranteed prize pool of €25,000. Those who finish in the top 10 will get points for the Unibet Open 2011 season leader board which has an estimated €100,000 in store for the most consistent players across 10 tournaments. Roger Ersberg received 40 points for the leader board when he took down the first Unibet Open Online for €9,819.
Qualifiers are also currently running for the Unibet Open Barcelona main event which will take place in June. There are daily freerolls and €2 feeders running for this event with €2,500 packages up for grabs. These packages include four nights accommodation, daily breakfast and dinner, €300 in travel expenses, and the buy-in to the €1,500 + €150 main event.
The last live winner was Mateusz Moolhuizen. The Dutchman took home €117,000 for beating 292 players in Malta in March. He currently sits atop the leader board with 76 points.
