Those looking forward to the PaddyPowerPoker.com Irish Open 2011 should be even more excited to hear the latest names confirmed for the €3,200 + €300 buy-in main event.
World Series of Poker bracelet holders Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott, Alan Smurfit, and Dan Harrington are now on the list, as are European Poker Tour champions Julian Thew and Roberto Romanello, plus snooker hero Ken Doherty and football legend Tony Cascarino. Not to forget previous champions Marty Smyth and Neil Channing. Smurfit and Thew qualified for the prestigious event online at PaddyPowerPoker.com, therefore they will be among the group of Sole Survivors battling it out to be the last Paddy Power Poker qualifier standing and whoever it is will take home an extra €100,000 on top of any cash they may win. There are currently 75 Sole Survivors and that includes last year’s survivor Rob Sherwood who will be defending his title as he has qualified once again via the site.
