Seneca Easley -- Photo Courtesy of WSOPThe $1,600 no-limit hold’em main event at the World Series of Poker Circuit stop at Harrah’s Rincon near San Diego, California crowned a champion late on Saturday. Seneca Easley topped a field of 188 players and he walked away with the top prize worth $70,384, a gold ring, and a seat in the WSOP Circuit National Championship in Las Vegas.

The final table welcomed back nine finalists after two days of play that started on Thursday. Easley came into the final table third in chips and he survived the flurry of eliminations to make it to the heads-up final against Shaun Walker. The two players contested a four-hour long heads-up match and it was Easley who eventually emerged victorious. “It’s all part of the game, it’s supposed to happen. Poker is like
that. You are going to lose some hands you should win, and vice-versa,” said Easley of the back-and-forth nature of the final battle after his win.

Here is a look at the final-table results:

1 Seneca Easley 70,384
2 Shaun Walker 43,480
3 Narinder Khasria 31,395
4 Patrick Karschamroon 23,057
5 Paul Hails 17,226
6 Hayden Fortini 13,089
7 Lori Nunes 10,111
8 Michael Simon 7,940
9 Alex Masek 6,335

The $1,600 main event served as a warm-up for the $10,000 WSOP Circuit West Regional Championship that begins on Sunday, March 27. Card Player will bring you live coverage from the tournament when cards get into the air at noon on Sunday, and that will include videos from CardPlayer TV. Here is a look at the schedule for the Regional Championship:

Sunday, March 27: Day 1 (play eight levels)
Monday, March 28: Day 2 (play nine levels)
Tuesday, March 29: Day 3 (play down to final table)
Wednesday, March 30: Final Table

Players will begin with 30,000 in chips and blinds begin at 25-50 for the first 60-minute level. The length of levels will increase to 75 minutes beginning with level 12 on day 2. All tournament days will begin at noon.

The top nine finishers in the event will claim seats in the $1 million guaranteed WSOP Circuit National Championship that will take place at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from May 27-29. The winner of that event will take home a WSOP gold bracelet and the first-place prize money of $300,000 of the million-dollar prize pool (the top 10 finishers will take home prize money).

The 100 seats in the WSOP Circuit National Championship will only go to a select number of invitees. The winners of each main event at the various WSOP Circuit stops throughout the season secures a seat, as do the nine final-table contenders from each of the four $10,000 Regional Championship events (Chicago, Atlantic City, San Diego, and New Orleans). After that the seats will go to the top players on the WSOP Circuit national standings. Here is a current look at that leader board:
