Belgian Wins First PokerStars Belgian Poker Series Main Event

Glenn de Backer. Credit: PokerStars.The winner of the first PokerStars.com Belgian Poker Series is Glenn de Backer. The young Belgian takes home €100,000 for topping a total of 576 players.

The €730 + €70 buy-in main event began on Apr. 14 at the Casino de Namur and ended on Apr. 17 with de Backer’s final opponent George Harutunian moving all in with KSpade Suit 4Spade Suit. De Backer called with ASpade Suit JHeart Suit and the board fell JClub Suit 4Club Suit 3Club Suit 7Club Suit 9Heart Suit to give the new series its very first champion.
