Jared Bleznick at the PokerGO StudioIt’s been a hot 2024 for Jared Bleznick, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down after a vicious high-stakes victory against ‘PencilArms’ at $300-$600 PLO over on CoinPoker.

The poker pro and sports cards fanatic was in top form as he won major pot after major pot, ultimately ending up with a stack of over $725,000 in front of him.

Playing as ‘Theblez,’ it was a rocky start for the New York-born pro, who jammed all in on the river on a 3Heart Suit7Spade SuitQDiamond SuitAHeart SuitJClub Suit board holding 10Diamond Suit9Diamond Suit10Spade Suit3Diamond Suit – just middle pair and a busted straight draw. PencilArms wasn’t a believer, looking him up with KHeart SuitASpade SuitJDiamond SuitKSpade Suit for two pair and a juicy $140k+ pot.

Within the hour, however, Bleznick had clawed it back and then some. He turned top set and led out as PencilArms raised all in with two pair and thin hopes of hitting a gutshot straight draw. Instead, the river gave Theblez a boat, along with $158k.

Multiple Six-Figure Pots

The two continued to trade blows, each landing heavy shots. Theblez got a river call from his opponent while holding the nut straight on a 5Diamond Suit3Diamond SuitAHeart Suit4Spade SuitKHeart Suit board to lock up $137k, but then lost a massive $125k pot when his two pair with pocket aces was second best to a turned-and-rivered flush. Ouch.

That pain didn’t last long, though, as he’d soon scoop more than a quarter of a million in one hand. Holding 6Diamond Suit8Heart SuitAHeart Suit7Club Suit, he connected fairly well with the 8Diamond Suit2Spade Suit4Spade Suit flop and check-called $32,600.

The turn was the 5Club Suit, completing the nut straight. He moved all in and PencilArms was drawing dead when he called with just pocket aces. Shortly after, Theblez picked up another $44k pot and then really started to turn the screw.

Bleznick flopped a set and rivered a full house against two pair to add another $132k, then almost immediately lost more than half of that when his tens and nines lost out to aces and tens. Undeterred, he scooped just under $150k after flopping the nut flush then braving his way through turn and river bets on the double-paired board.

PencilArms reraised the flop and went all in on the turn, then mucked in a $159k pot. Theblez had rivered his flush, holding 8Spade Suit9Diamond Suit7Club Suit7Spade Suit on the 4Spade Suit6Spade Suit4Heart Suit8Diamond SuitASpade Suit runout, and it’s safe to assume PencilArms would’ve been good on a bunch of other rivers.

The six-figure pots just kept on coming, and almost all of them were now going Bleznick’s way. He flopped set over set holding aces against kings in a dream setup for $152k, then managed to crack aces himself by turning a straight.

It was a top-class performance from Theblez, but you have to feel for PencilArms with some of the spots he found himself in.

Impressive Year For Bleznick

This was just the latest in a long line of 2024 successes for Bleznick, who once made headlines for hiring Phil Hellmuth as his main event coach. You may also remember him causing a bit of a stir in the main event for unwrapping box after box of baseball cards at the feature table, even when involved in a hand.

It was this summer that he secured his first WSOP bracelet and more than $2 million after he won a $50,000 high roller.

In October, he nearly defended his Super High Roller Bowl PLO title with a fourth-place finish for $450,000 and recently, he took third in the $100,000 PLO high roller at WSOP Paradise for $1,170,360. He is now second on the PLO all-time money list behind only Eelis Parssinen.

He also became the High Stakes Duel 5 champion on PokerGO after beating Poker Hall of Famer Patrik Antonius in three back-to-back heads-up matches. That victory earned him $350,000, the championship belt, and another reason to celebrate a hell of a year by the time New Year’s Eve rolls around.
