PokerStars European Poker Tour San Remo Event Begins Wednesday

The EPT Arrives in Italy Once Again where a Large Field is Expected

2010 EPT San Remo Champion Liv BoereeThe PokerStars European Poker Tour San Remo stop begins on Wednesday, April 27 at noon local time in the Italian Riviera. This is the fourth year for this hugely successful tournament stop as evidenced by last year when 1,240 players attended the event and created a total prize pool worth $8,050,724. Last season Team PokerStars pro Liv Boeree scored her breakout victory and topped the large field to take home the top prize worth $1,673,433.

Players will begin with 30,000 in chips in the no-limit hold’em main event in 2011 and blinds begin at 50-100. Levels will be 60 minutes long on day 1 and then they will increase to 75 minutes in length thereafter. The final table will crown a champion on Wednesday, May 3.
