Chip leader Ruben VisserDay 1B of the PokerStars European Poker Tour San Remo attracted 549 players, creating a total field, over both starting days, of 987 from 57 countries. This in turn created a prize pool of €4,786,950 with €930,000 for the winner, plus a Shamballa Jewels bracelet worth more than €16,000, a seat in the EPT Grand Final, and a seat in the Champion of Champions tournament.

By end of play 549 had become 249, and leading the way was Dutch Team PokerStars pro Ruben Visser. Visser topped a pro-heavy field with 233,400 to wrap up the day and become overall chip leader beating day 1A’s Leonid Bilokur from Russia, who had 187,900. However Visser is followed closely by EPT Grand Final champ Nicolas Chouity (233,400), fellow team member Victor Ramdin (190,500), and EPT London hero David Vamplew (166700).
