World Series of Poker Circuit -- New Orleans Tournament Series Begins

The New Orleans Stop will Feature the $10,000 Southern Regional Championship

Harrah's New OrleansThe final World Series of Poker Circuit tournament series of the 2010-11 season began on Monday, May 9 at the Harrah’s in New Orleans, LA. The tournament series will feature a total of 11 gold-ring events and the series will conclude when a champion is crowned in the $10,000 WSOP Circuit Southern Regional Championship on May 22.

The $10,000 WSOP Circuit Southern Regional Championship begins on Thursday, May 19, and there will be multiple satellites offered the day before the tournament on May 18. Here is a look at those satellites:

Card Player will feature daily recaps of the $10,000 WSOP Circuit Southern Regional Championship. The players who make the final table in the event will advance to the WSOP Circuit National Championship that will take place at Caesars Palace from May 27-29.

The final $1,500 no-limit hold’em main event for the season will begin on Monday, May 16, and there will be multiple satellites offered the day before the tournament on May 15. Here is a look at those satellites:

Card Player will feature a recap of the final table for the main event, where the winner will take home a gold ring and a seat in the WSOP Circuit National Championship that will take place at Caesars Palace from May 27-29.

In addition to the main event and Regional Championship the tournament series will also spread preliminaries for no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, and pot-limit hold’em. The tournament series will also host nightly $185 no-limit hold’em tournaments at 9 p.m. from May 9-21.
