The Boylepoker International Poker Open returns to the Regency Hotel Dublin later this year, from Oct. 21-23, with a few new twists and turns to spruce it up.
The €200 + €25 buy-in event will play, as usual, across two days (including a choice of two starting days) but this time players will sit down to an increased starting stack of 15,000 and 40-minute levels. This will change after the second break and then on day 2 blinds will increase every hour.
A new aspect this year is the WSOP-like wait for the final table. When the final has been reached, play will be paused until Nov. 26. The final table will then be streamed exclusively at Boylepoker.com.
Ciaran Corbett, Poker VIP Manager at Boylepoker, said, “As usual this year the Boylepoker.com IPO will be bigger and better than ever. We have increased the starting stack to 15,000 and adjusted the clock to ensure there is more play at the business end of the event. Also, the delayed final table will add a new and exciting twist to the event.”
Other new elements include the site’s “Extra Cash” promotion which sees 20 individual €1,000 cash prizes added to the prize pool for the last 20 promotion-qualifying players who make the money in the main event. Those who earn 350 VIP points at Boylepoker in (each of) two single months between June and September can earn an extra €1,000 at the IPO. Players have the option to qualify for the main event by earning 1,000 iPoints in a single month in this timeframe also.
Another way to qualify is to play Boylepoker’s €5+ €0.50 buy-in freezeout this Thursday, Jun. 2 at 8 p.m.. Celebrating the launch, the site is giving away two IPO tickets with further seat tokens generated for every €225 in the prize pool.
