Last weekend’s Unibet Open Barcelona was won by Ruben Sanchez Cebollada.

The young Spaniard lifted €145,000 for his victory in the €1,650 buy in event which attracted 387 players to the Catalan capital.

Cebollada had to fight hard for his victory taking on long-time table bully Davor Pavic in an epic heads up battle which saw the player grind on each other mercilessly for several hours as the chip lead swung both ways.

When blinds finally hit 80,000/160,000 the playrs got it all in qith A-9 for the Spaniard and A-7 for the Swede. The flop threw up an ace but that was all that was relevant and Cebollada took down the title.
