At Least 250 WSOP Seats Will Be Given Away SundayQualifiers Still Taking Place at Full Tilt and PokerStars |
|
The final countdown to the guaranteed tournaments at FullTiltPoker.com and PokerStars.com that will take place Sunday, July 16, has begun, but there are still plenty of opportunities to get into tournaments for much less than the set buy-ins at both sites. Qualifiers are now taking place at both PokerStars.com and FullTiltPoker.com, and have been for weeks now. With five days to go before supersatellite Sunday, time is running out to get into these special events.
FullTiltPoker.com
Full Tilt is holding its 100-seat-guaranteed tournament Sunday at 6 p.m. EDT. As of Wednesday, 1,500 people have registered for the event. Qualifiers have been going on around the clock and there will be some people playing in this $535 buy-in tournament for as little as $4.40. Winners receive a $12,000 WSOP prize package.
As Sunday approaches, FullTiltPoker.com is giving its players plenty of chances to qualify for this tournament. The next several days are packed tight with an expanded schedule of feeder satellites that run up right up until the 100-seat-guaranteed tourney is set to start.
FullTiltPoker.com's new software makes it extremely easy to find a good path into the WSOP. To view all the feeder satellites, click on the "tournaments" box and then the "WSOP" tab, and then click on the "Hold'em DS" listing in the box, and a new window opens showing all the information about the tourney, including a list of the feeders.
As a special bonus, if the winner of the main event qualified for the tournament through FullTiltPoker.com, the player will receive $10 million extra. Finish in the top three, and receive $100,000.
PokerStars.com
PokerStars.com's 150-seat-guaranteed tournament this Sunday costs $370 to enter straight-up but, of course, the site's offering plenty of chances to get into the tourney for much less. There will be people playing in this tourney who got in for as little as $3.
As of Wednesday, 1,706 people had already registered for the tourney.
Players can play $3, $7.50, and $16 satellites to get into the July 16 tourney. All these satellites are rebuy tourneys. Players can also get into the $370 tourney using their frequent player points (FPP). The July 16 event has a guaranteed prize pool of $1.8 million.
PokerStars.com also added an extra incentive to qualify through the site. If the winner of the WSOP main event qualified through PokerStars.com, the player will receive an extra $1 million from the online site. Finish second or third to receive an extra $250,000 from PokerStars.com, and if make the final table to receive an extra $100,000.
So far, more than 1,000 people have qualified for the WSOP main event at PokerStars.com. The event takes place at 4:30 p.m. EDT.
