David Singontiko Wins $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Eight-or-Better at 2011 World Series of PokerCaptures First Bracelet and $268,000 |

David Singontiko is a perfect one-for-one in World Series of Poker events. The 21-year-old Californian won the $1,500 pot-limit Omaha eight-or-better Friday evening (the first event he has ever played) at the 2011 WSOP.
The amateur poker player beat out one of the most inexperienced final tables of the summer en route to capturing the piece of poker hardware and the $268,000 first place prize.
The field was massive yet again for this event, as 946 players turned out to compete in one of the Series’ most unique tournaments.

John Reiss Eliminated in 9th Place ($20,063)
John Reiss raised to 84,000 from under the gun, Jeffrey Gibraltar reraised to 150,000, Reiss moved all in and Gibraltar called.

The board came K 9 5 10 9, giving Gibraltar top pair on the flop to win the pot. John Reiss was the first one eliminated in 9th place ($20,063).
Robert Campbell Eliminated in 8th Place ($25,746)
David Singontiko raised the small blind to 75,000 before the flop, Robert Campbell moved all in from the big blind and Singontiko called.

The board came J 3 2 K A, giving Singontiko the wheel on the river to scoop the pot. Robert Campbell was eliminated in 8th place ($25,746).
Cliff Kettinger Eliminated in 7th Place ($33,396)
David Singontiko raised to 49,000 before the flop, Cliff Kettinger reraised to 159,000, Singontiko four-bet shoved and Kettinger called all in.

The board came 8 4 2 6 6, giving Singontiko a straight and the nut-low to scoop the pot. Cliff Kettinger was eliminated in 7th place ($33,396).

Jeffrey Gibraltar raised 75,000 before the flop, Marco Oliveira shoved and Gibraltar called all in.

The board came Q 9 4 10 8, giving Gibraltar a pair of eights to scoop the pot. Marco Oliveira was eliminated in 6th place ($43,830).
Thomas Scarber Eliminated in 5th Place ($58,235)
Thomas Scarber opened the pot for 105,000 before the flop, David Singontiko shoved and Scarber called all in.

The board came A J 10 2 4, giving Singontiko top pair on the flop to crack Scarber’s kings and win the pot. Thomas Scarber was eliminated in 5th place ($58,235).
Igor Sharaskin Eliminated in 4th Place ($78,413)
Igor Sharaskin opened the pot for 80,000 from under the gun and David Singontiko called.
The flop came Q 6 3, Singontiko checked, Sharaskin bet 125,00, Singontiko check-raised all in and Sharaskin called all in.

The turn and river were the 6 and the 3, giving Singontiko trips on the turn to win the pot. Igor Sharaskin was eliminated in 4th place ($78,413).
Jeffrey Gibraltar Eliminated in 3rd Place ($107,148)
Jeffrey Gibraltar button-raised to 130,000 before the flop, David Singontiko reraised the size of the pot to 415,000 from the big blind and Gibraltar called.
The flop came 9 6 3, Gibraltar got it all in and Singontiko called.

The turn and river were the 9 and the K, giving Singontiko a full house to scoop the pot. Jeffrey Gibraltar was eliminated in 3rd place ($107,148) and David Singontiko took the chip lead against Michal Yee going into heads-up play.
Michael Yee Eliminated in 2nd Place ($165,346)
Just minutes after heads up play began, Michael Yee was all in before the flop for 325,000 against chip leader David Singontiko.

Singontiko: A 10 8 5
The board came J 8 7 6 10, giving Singontiko two pair to win the pot.
Michael Yee was eliminated in 2nd place ($165,346) while David Singontiko wins the gold bracelet in Event #51 and the $268,235 grand prize.
