It has been announced that the 2011 World Series of Poker main event has attracted a total of 6,865 entrants, creating a prize pool of more than $64 million, with the winner walking away with $8.7 million of the total purse. Despite this summer’s turnout marking a 454 player drop-off from last year, the 2011 main event is still the third largest of all-time.

693rd and better will make the money in the event, with the minimum payout being $19,359. You have to finish 72nd or better to cash for six figures.
