Local Player Takes Down $144,000 For Topping 141-Strong Field

Miha Travnik has won the World Poker Tour Slovenia. The local boy beat 140 opponents at Casino Portoroz to pick up $144,399 (€102,700) in the €3,300 buy in main event.

Travnik entered the heads up dual 3:1 down in chips against Vincenzo Natale and the chip lead swung backwards and forwards over two hours until Travnik crippled Natale calling an all-in four bet with J-J while his opponent tabled 9Diamond Suit 8Diamond Suit.

The jacks held and Travnik held a 10:1 chip lead before finishing his desperate opponent off a few hands later.
