Online poker player “yllams” won the 65 billionth had at PokerStars.com collecting $68,420 after he flopped two aces while holding A-K. His opponents each won $500 for every VIP point they earned at the table in the preceding 50 hands and took down at least $1,710.
The player, from New Zealand, said, “Unbelievable… I have work in a few hours” then logged off, most likely to catch some shut eye as the hand was won in the early hours of Monday morning.
PokerStars gave away a total of $770,589 between 64.7 billion hands and 65 billion to over 1,600 players during 301 million hands.
The site is now almost 2/3 of the way to 100 billion hands.
