New Co-Sponsors for Joe Barton's Online Poker Bill

List Grows to 20 Representatives

Last week Rep. Joe Barton’s (R-Texas) Internet Gambling Prohibition, Poker Consumer Protection, and Strengthening UIGEA Act of 2011 (H.R.2366) increased its co-sponsor list to 20.

Joining the original group that included, Shelley Berkley (D-NV), John Campbell (R-CA), Steve Cohen (D-TN), John Conyers (D-MI), Barney Frank (D-MA), Michael Grimm (R-NY), Mike Honda (D-CA), Peter King (R-NY), Ron Paul (R-TX), Ed Perlmutter (D-CO), and Linda Sanchez (D-CA), are the following:

  • Jared Polis (D-CO)
  • Rob Andrews (D-NJ)
  • Joe Heck (R-NV)
  • Eliot Engel (D-NY
  • Steve Israel (D-NY)

Notes: Paul announced earlier this month that he will not seek re-election to Congress. Andrews, Moran, and Polis were added on July 8, while the rest signed on July 19.
