Richard TolentinoThe Asian Poker Tour crowned Richard Tolentino as the winner of the recently concluded All-In Anniversary Series of Poker PHP 1 million guaranteed main event held from June 22-27 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Lahug Cebu, Philippines.

“We’ve had a great partnership with the All-In Poker Sports Club previously with the launch of our APT Asian Series Cebu tournament and are very happy to continue our association with the professional team there,” said Jeff Mann, CEO of the Asian Poker Tour. He added, “Having an APT accredited event allows us to give the region’s poker players the best tournament conditions and standards outside of APT specific events.”

The All-In Poker Sports Club Anniversary Series featured the implementation of low buy-ins, daily re-entries and accredited APT rules and regulations. Action kicked off with two side events, the Waterfront Heads-Up Challenge and the Monster Radio 3-Man Team.

The Waterfront Heads-Up Challenge had to turn down many eager players as it sold out immediately. The last man standing in the event was Jay-R Mascunana who defeated Jonex Yabez heads up with trip sixes. Mascunana collected PHP 12,460 in winnings.

At the Monster Radio 3-Man Team Tournament, 19 teams entered the arena, but none could take down “The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly” who captured the win and claimed PHP 28,000 in prize money. The team was comprised of Alquin Macias, Robert Browning, and Joseph Krawczyk. After winning the heads-up final, Macias also took home another PHP 13,800 for the individual first prize.

The PHP 1 million main event featured a buy-in of PHP 5,500 and a daily re-entry of the same price, which resulted in 199 entries. This included notable players such as 1991 World Series of Poker main event champion Brad Daugherty, APT Philippines 2011 champion Enrique del Prado Jr.

After several days of play, the final table began with Damon Shulenberger leading the pack. His lead, however, would not last as he was eliminated in seventh place. When Galileo Roma was eliminated in third place, the heads-up match was set between Richard Tolentino and Sonny Ugalde. In the end, it would be Tolentino seizing the championship with pocket aces against Ugalde’s K-J. Tolentino was awarded a first-place trophy and a hefty paycheck of PHP 313,600 in winnings.
