EPT Barcelona Is Largest Live Poker Event Ever Held In Spain

Kent Lundmark beat 757 players last season to take home the €825,000 top prize in this popular event, and this year’s champion will take home €850,000 from a total prize pool of €4,055,000.

Last season’s Grand Final held in Madrid had a bigger prize pool with 686 players tallying up the €10,600 buy-in but more players than ever before turned up at this year’s EPT Barcelona setting a whole new record for largest poker event attendance in Spain.

Guillaume Darcourt is currently leading the 407 survivors heading into day 2 with 195,300 in chips. The French pro finished 25th at the World Series of Poker main event this year for a nice payday of $242,636 and is looking to add to his winnings in the stunning city of Barcelona.
