The French Poker Network, powered by Microgaming and owned joingly by 888 and Prima Networks, has announced the abolition of poker tournament fees for September and October.

The money will still be collected but will be added to tournament prize pools so a 100 runner €10 + €1 tournament which would normally have had a prize pool of €1,000 will, for two months, have a prize pool of €1,100.

Loraine Schoevers, director of Prima Networks, said: “High value promotions are essential for regulated markets such as France, where there is a lot of competition and high taxes. Our software is already top-shelf, and now our tournament schedule is industry leading as well.”
