The new season of Betfair Poker LIVE! kicked off with a $600 + $50 buy-in main event at the Fitzwilliam Card Club in Dublin, Ireland. It was a busy weekend for poker in Dublin but the event still managed to attract 73 players creating a total prize pool of €28,120.
It was Janos Jeszek who was crowned the champion of the new season’s first stop when he beat Adam Treanor to the first-place prize of €9,370. In the final hand Jeszek’s K-Q held on a queen-high board with Treanor holding Q-9 and both players with straight draws that didn’t get there.
Treanor took home €5,590 for his runner-up finish.
