Current Irish Open champion Niall Smyth has taken down the Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival for a nice payday of €70,000.
Freerolling, due to his Sole Survivor sponsorship with PaddyPowerPoker.com, Smyth backed up his Irish Open win when he beat 568 players in the €500 buy-in event in Killarney.

river ensured Smyth was once again the last player standing.

This April, Smyth collected €550,000 for topping a 615-strong field at the Burlington Hotel at one of the poker world’s premier events, the Irish Open. Not only that, he also won a €100,000 sponsorship package for being the final PaddyPowerPoker.com qualifier standing.
The next event Smyth plays is the €1,100 buy-in Irish Winter Festival at the end of this month. Players who qualify for the Festival at PaddyPowerPoker.com will also be eligible for a €20,000 Sole Survivor promotion.
