Fertitta Interactive, an online gaming entity established and co-owned by Station Casinos’ founders, announced Wednesday that it has, for an undisclosed price, purchased the assets of California-based CyberArts Licensing, an online gaming software provider. The plan is to provide online poker if federal legislation passes.
“Fertitta Interactive fully supports the federal regulation of online poker in the United States,” the company’s Lorenzo Fertitta said. “In CyberArts, we found a leader in the development and design of online gaming software with an exemplary track record of regulatory compliance. We will be working on new and innovative products with the goal of ultimately providing consumers with the best online gaming experience in a safe and secure environment.”
“Online poker is a convergence of traditional casino gambling, Internet marketing, technology and entertainment,” said Tom Breitling, principal at Fertitta Interactive. “The combined management team, at Fertitta Interactive/CyberArts, is uniquely positioned to meet the challenges of the online gaming industry.”
In late March, Full Tilt Poker entered into a partnership with Fertitta Interactive. The deal dissolved after the April 15 indictments against the company’s CEO Ray Bitar, and other leaders of the major online poker sites.
