Courtesy of Danny Maxwell and Paddy Power PokerOn day 2 of the PaddyPowerPoker.com Irish Winter Festival €1000 + €100 main event the 121 players remaining from a starting field of 395 had to be slimmed down to a final table of eight. However as players and Sole Survivors battled with each other for their spot at the final, it seemed obvious no-one wanted to go home. This meant play had to eventually be called a day at 4 a.m. with 12 still remaining.

Action starts off again at 2 p.m. (local time) in Dublin’s Burlington Hotel and leading the way is Noel O’Brien with 882,000 in chips. Also still in the field is Irish Open champ Niall Smyth and another Irish player having success on the circuit of late, Chris Dowling. Matej Kokalj finished fourth in this event in 2009 and he sits in fourth place on the leader board with plenty of ammo to do some damage today. Check out PaddyPowerPoker’s live stream to see what happens next.
