The latest editions of both Card Player Magazine and Card Player Europe Magazine are now available online and feature poker professionals Matt Glantz and Thomas Pederson.
High-stakes cash game player and tournament regular Glantz is considered to be one of poker’s hardest workers. The 39-year-old isn’t flashy, but has an unmatched work ethic that accounts for his success in his local $300-$600 mixed game along with over $4 million in tournament earnings.
Despite the volatile swings of the game, the former options traders says that he can handle it. “After having many, many days in the stock market where I had huge losses, I came into poker having almost no tilt factor,” said Glantz. “The market made me numb to losses and poker is no different. That has always been my main advantage. What I do best is not to have leaks. I’m not the best at any one discipline of poker, and I certainly am not the most fundamentally sound poker player in the world. But I’m always looking to find new ways to win.”
Pederson stole the headlines back in September after winning the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) main event for $1,260,018. The 28-year-old previously spent most of his time sports betting, but is now focusing on poker, specifically cash games.
Other features in these issues include player profiles on Matt Giannetti and Curt Kohlberg, as well as columns from poker minds such as Alan Schoomaker, Ed Miller, Dusty Schmidt, Jeff Hwang, John Vorhaus and more.
The magazine, as well as an archive of more than 500 issues, is available to be viewed in rich media flash versions or mobile-friendly HTML formats. All you need to view each issue is a digital subscription.
